The complaints of ONE man nearly succeeded in removing symbols associated with Christianity from  Government property.

ONE woman is responsible for removing prayer from schools.

ONE man nearly exterminated the Jewish population…

Do you think that your ONE voice/vote/opinion can’t make a difference…please reconsider. Silence is consent.

“An order to remove angels and stars from Christmas trees in all government buildings in one California county has been rescinded following the uproar that ensued over the decision.

Acting County Administrator Chris Thomas in Sonoma County informed the heads of all 26 county departments to disregard his previous order, which was made in response to the complaint of a disabled atheist veteran.

Last week,a 65-year-old man, who claims to have been an atheist all his life and regularly files complaints about religious symbols in public places, complained to Sonoma County officials after seeing an angel on top of a six-foot Christmas tree in the lobby of the county recorder’s office and later a star ornament in the office of the county Board of Supervisors.

This man,  said he plans to meet with lawyers next month to consider legal action to prevent future use of the decorations. He also plans to ask Sonoma officials to remove a steel cross erected as a memorial to an accident victim, according to FoxNews.com.”

American the beautiful…land of the free…and the brave. The words of our national anthem are now ringing true for people of faith living in the United States of America.

At 90 years of age, a WWII war veteran won another battle…this one not on foreign land, instead on his very own property in Virginia. Col. Van T. Barfoot (USA-Ret.) decided to proudly display an American flag, representing his love for and dedication to this great land; however,  issues arose when his Home Owners Association decided the flag was “aesthetically inappropriate” and threatened legal action.  Read more below.

Col. Van Barfoot with American flag“The American Legion is praising the decision of a Virginia homeowners association to drop its legal action against a 90-year-old World War II hero who refused its order to take down a flagpole he had erected on his property.

Col. Van T. Barfoot (USA-Ret.) is a Medal of Honor recipient who fought in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. This past summer the bona fide hero decided to erect a flagpole and display a U.S. flag in the front yard of his Henrico, Virginia, residence.

But Barfoot did not get permission to do so from the Sussex Square Homeowners Association, which claimed the flag pole was not “aesthetically appropriate” and threatened legal action if he did not take it down. That threat created a huge fallout as the 2.5-million-member American Legion, several senators, and President Barack Obama sided with the Medal of Honor winner.:

In the case of a North Carolina high school student, yes.

The story:

“A North Carolina high school is backing down after a pro-life legal group helped a pro-life student who faced a revocation of her free speech rights. The female student wanted to participate in the Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity sponsored by Stand True Ministries. The day is an opportunity for students to wear red tape or armbands to show their solidarity with unborn children who can’t speak for themselves.

It features pro-life t-shirts and fliers explaining how abortion kills unborn children and has adversely impacted society. This student wore a T-shirt with the word “abortion” crossed out and distributed her fliers during non-instructional time to her classmates that explained her pro-life views.”

The support that the Body of Christ can provide is unbelievable. When we are knitted together in love (Col.2:2), the Kingdom of God can advance in a powerful way. One for all… and all for ONE  – Jesus Christ.

Shortly after the children started rehearsals this fall for a “secular holiday program”, the Principal of the Oregon-based school scratched “Silent Night” from the program after a parent complained that the carol’s emphasis was “too single-religion.”

It is apparent that this is a reoccurring issue that people of faith are having to face. In this case, about 100 people from the audience sung in sweet worship to their Savior despite the attempt of others to squelch the acknowledgement of the true reason for the season – Jesus Christ. This is an example of the beautiful passion that is stirring within the hearts of people of faith world-wide; one that cannot be quenched.

Well done!

You may be thinking that something this extreme could never happen…especially in the United States of America – One Nation Under God. Well think again. In the case of Salazar vs. Buono, commonly called “The Mojave Desert Cross” case, a federal district court ruled that the 5 feet by 8 feet cross in the Mojave Desert be removed. The cross is currently covered and stored in a plywood box.

The challenges we are facing are greatly due to misinterpretation of The Constitution. This has resulted in an opposite result of what it was originally intended to do, preserve our religious freedom. The judge found that the primary effect of the cross was to advance religion, of which in his opinion is “violating The Establishment Clause.”As a result of this ruling, there is a threat that all crosses on Federal property, even in the American Cemetery above Normandy in France (on American territory) will have to be removed permanently.

This case represents not only the unpardonable act of removing crosses from the graves of our fallen soldiers, but it is symbolic of the attempt to silence people of faith.

This a worthy of our attention. Please take time to find out more information:

Christ stays in Christmas!

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” ISAIAH 9:6

As people of faith, this season represents the birth of the One who showed the ultimate act of love by dying for us. It is meant to be a time of joy, love, laughter, and peace all because of One Man – Jesus Christ. Every time the words “Merry Christmas” are said or heard, the Truth and Reason for the season is declared and joy rings in our hearts and minds.

Recently, certain retailers have listened to the “scrooges” yelling from the rooftops that they are offended by this Love, thereby wanting to remove the Reason and replace it with a phrase that represents the season, “Happy Holidays”.

Many of you took the initiative to say “enough is enough”, and we are proud to say that you have made a difference. Those that took the time to make phone calls, send letters and emails have caused these retailers to produce commercials specifically saying “Merry Christmas.”

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. The unity that has formed amongst people of faith is creating a powerful force. This force is one of love and respect, yet has a resounding voice that says, ” This is One Nation Under God and will stay that way.”

December 16th, 2009 was a historic night in the course of our nation. It was a night that fanned the flame of a powerful movement of people of faith toward one common goal; the preservation of our spiritual heritage.

The Family Research Counsel along with Lou Engle of The Call and several other National Leaders spearheaded this unbelievable night. Among those that attended were Congressman Randy Forbes, Congressman Mike McIntyre, Senator Sam Brownback, Bishop Harry Jackson, and Dr. James Dobson.

Repentance was the catalyst for the night. Several leaders took turns repenting on behalf of decisions or actions made by people of faith or leaders that are against Biblical Principles; specifically for allowing the killing of unborn children, immorality, ignoring the poor, not praying for our leaders, or for the poor decisions made by ungodly leaders in the past.

Dr. James and Shirley Dobson joined the group via phone and warned of the implications if people of faith do not follow the moral and structural principles outlined in scripture. Her comments reinforce the urgency of the need to focus on the Health Care Reform. If is passes, it is directly opposing most of the foundational Biblical principles that shaped this nation.

Senator Brownback shared how this Health Care Reform would dim the light of the United States; once known as a “Beacon of Light”.  He said it would promote radical social policies that would cause us to lose our “exceptionalism as a nation.” The rationing of healthcare, government funding of abortions, taxes on married couples-promoting co-habitation without covenant, overextension of an already outrageous national debt, euthanasia, higher taxes on next generation, and approval of marijuana are just a few of the very actions potentially violating our spiritual heritage and freedom.

Congresswoman Michele Bachman reminded viewers that according to Isaiah 9:6, the government is on “His” shoulders.  God is our only solution; the Ultimate Authority. There are several instances in scriptures where God turned the hearts of kings in order to accomplish His will. The only thing we have to do….is humble ourselves and pray, turn from our wicked ways, and He promises to hear from heaven and “heal our land.” (2 Chron.7:14)

After about two hours of intense prayer, leaders closed with an urgent call for people of faith to pray and to TRUST GOD AGAIN.  If you missed it, feel free to watch it at http://www.frcaction.org/prayercast.

Separation of Church and State -The Metaphor and the Constitution

“Separation of church and state” is a common metaphor that is well recognized. Equally well recognized is the metaphorical meaning of the church staying out of the state’s business and the state staying out of the church’s business. Because of the very common usage of the “separation of church and state phrase,” most people incorrectly think the phrase is in the constitution. The phrase “wall of separation between the church and the state” was originally coined by Thomas Jefferson in a letter to the Danbury Baptists on January 1, 1802. His purpose in this letter was to assuage the fears of the Danbury, Connecticut Baptists, and so he told them that this wall had been erected to protect them. The metaphor was used exclusively to keep the state out of the church’s business, not to keep the church out of the state’s business.

The constitution states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” Both the free exercise clause and the establishment clause place restrictions on the government concerning laws they pass or interfering with religion. No restrictions are placed on religions except perhaps that a religious denomination cannot become the state religion.

Truth is the key. Freedom is the result. In God We Trust.

Now that we know the truth about the Separation of Church and State….

Church be free!

Standing tall, straight, and unwavering, they pledged:

“For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.”

This act of courage and selflessness was as a result of realizing their God-given rights were being infringed upon. They had a faith and a vision for what life could be; a vision that led to the freedom we benefit from today.

We have enjoyed this freedom for over 200 years, however we are now facing the same predicament. The very Judeo-Christian principles that create the foundation of this nation are eroding away right before our very eyes. Slowly over time, a combination of lack of action by people of faith partnered with decisions made by impious leaders have attributed to this matter.

It’s not too late. It’s never too late. Scripture promises us that “With God all things are possible.” There are accounts in the Bible of  an Angel of the Lord wiping out entire armies set against the people of God in one night, or God causing their enemies to destroy themselves as the people of God prayed to Him, fasted, and worshipped Him. When God is with us, who can be against us.

The key is choice. Make the choice today to pray for our nation and leaders, participate in/with your sphere of influence, and have faith that God can use you to bring reformation to this nation.

For too long, we’ve been silent.  Our “silence is consent.”   It is time to choose.  We have allowed the biblical values and founding principles of our nation to slowly slip away.  The sound of apathy is deafening.  Listen to the drum beat of freedom… Look at the choreographed steps mapped out by the cries of the heroes and heroines of our history.  The motions inspired by The Harriet Tubman’s, the Wilberforce’s, the Adams, the abolitionists, and the Martin Luther Kings.  Living without compromise, we must follow the steady rhythm of our convictions and act in congruence with our beliefs.  Embracing moral intolerance, we must dance in such a way that creates our own legacy, where posterity and history look back at us and call it good.

What do you think?
